Hi everyone. I live in northern Ontario, still working for a living but love to meet new people. My partner introduced me to this site and it looks like I am going to be spending some time here. There seems to be so much to read and enjoy.
I am excited to see all the people joining Zoomers and sharing thoughts and ideas. This is great. :) I just signed up a few days ago and have been checking back and watching the numbers growing. Yay!
I am cautiously dipping a toe in the water and thinking I may just have to dive in soon.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Pat

Well, as a newbie to Zoomers, but not so new to the baby boomer generation, I am interested in getting to know others from the far flung corners of the world that is constantly shrinking because of the Internet. First off, my profile picture was taken in Rajasthan, India this past January where my wife and I spent a month on holidays. The past two years we have been teaching at a university in China, not too far from Shanghai. We are back home in Canada now and we will stay here until the New Year when we take off for a three month sojourn in Ghana, Africa.

I am a father of three and a grandfather of five and a retired school principal. My current hobbies are photography and golf.

... waiting to get to know more of you hanging out here ...

I am a newbee and not sure how to reply to a post. I think your photos are wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I put an album on Zoomers yesterday based on my travel and wanted your impressions. I take terrible photos of buildings and scenery and have concentrated mainly on people portraits. I am hoping this works as have a few ideas about travel companies.
You're doing great for a newbie! Keep it up, invite your friends, make new ones here and keep the energy going. This is going to be a great site and we're glad you're here!

Eric

Well,

Here i am. Louise O. Hope to meet a lot of people here! So far it looks great!
Gently I tiptoe into the room looking to see if I recognize a familiar face...I generally love new beginnings but need that secure comfortable feeling to accompany it.

Perhaps we have in some way made a connection already through 50Plus, or Canadian Chatters Online, etc. Hello and nice to see you here if we have.

If we are meeting for the first time, that is wonderful. Looking for that something we have in common? I have been a Half Century club member for a decade now. Have 4 grown children, who have blessed me with grands which I delight in spoiling . I work full time still but find time to create as well. I make shawls, scarves, shrugs among other things to keep me out of too much mischief.

I am an advocate for natural alternative health practices and lead a spartan healthy lifestyle. Humour is the best medicine.
Your turn....... Judy
I call myself Willow and I've been on discussion forums for almost three years. I love discussing and pretty much let things roll off my back. I give as good as I get and have managed to ward off and dwindle to a small group of 5 the number of people who troll me..LOL!!! No, I'm not a trouble maker....AND I'm trolled under an entirely different name.

Don't talk much outside the political stuff, but I will occasionally get in a silly mood.
