Does anyone remember buying or hosting a Coppercraft Guild product at home parties? These parties took place in the 1960's, possibly in the 1950's as well.

I have a hanging wall art plaque depicting a woman sitting at a spinningwheel (pioneer style). On the back is the mark: by Dart Industries Kitchener Ontario for Coppercraft Guild. Copyright MCMLXX1.

This placque is made of resin to represent copper.

Any further information, welcomed.

Good question, Patricia!

To jog our members' memories, here's a vintage photo we dug up:

Do you know how much 'copper metal content' there is in these various CopperCraft products?

With the price of copper going through the roof maybe I should pull my collection out of storage and try to make some serious money.

Dart industries was on Manitou Dr.  Kitchener On. and as far as I remember it was late 60's, seventies. and early eighty's. I once met the couple that owned the company, the wife's first name I remember was Pepper, probably becauce of her hair colour, I heard she died traglically and after that, I never heard of them after that.

Thanks for this information everyone. I did some searching on the web yesterday about Coppercraft Guild but the information I received is somewhat confusing. Yes, Coppercraft Guild (American Company) did sell copper household products through home parties but they also sold copper look a like products (like the plaque I own) made of a hig quality resin material. The connection with Dart Industries seems to be only here in Canada.

As for the amount of copper in the copper pieces, I am not sure if they are valuable or not! Ebay has some pieces but they vary in price.

The same people who owned Coppercraft (brothers I believe) had a falling out and split the Company assets in the mid 60s.  One of them formed the "Princess House" company.  He also had a number of Copper items sold through that Company but it was mainly China & Crystal.
