Every picture has a story, right? Well, who knew that the Rod Stewart classic was especially applicable for Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.
While May is trailing in polls behind, well, everyone else, we are digging the rock n' roll love she's got pouring in nation-wide for her. (And it looks like her strategy seems to be primarily focused on getting a Parliamentary seat.)
First up is the recently released song "Elizabeth" performed by Chilliwack frontman Bill Henderson got together with his buddy Randy Bachman and friends Denise McCann Bachman and Shari Ulrich.
You can watch the music video below:
Second up: these photos that our friend Vintage Voter dug up of May with rockers Gordon Lightfoot and Paul McCartney.

According to Elizabeth May's website, the photo dates back to 1989, when May was responsible for organizing concerts to fundraise David Suzuki's Amazon efforts to halt the building of a dam near the Xingu River. "
We raised the money without any organizational structure, although many groups (like WWF and Nature Canada) helped. The primary reason for our success was that the concerts featured Gordon Lightfoot. These photos were taken in February 1989 with Gordon Lightfoot in the indigenous village."
Indeed, it was twenty years ago today that Liz met the Cute One: "
I was on the board of Friends of the Earth Canada and Paul McCartney was promoting FOE in his world tour. As delightful as I could have imagined, he was very taken with [daughter] Victoria Cate, then three months old."

Once the youngsters catch on, they will vote her and her party in, gradually over time, especially as those like one relative of mine who said she does not care about global warming anyway as soon she will be dead, do indeed die off. She may not escape yet! and the Greens will inevitably take over as more drastic changes take place.
