So this is coming to Canada on October 18th:

It's the KFC Double Down — two pieces of chicken replacing the hamburger bun, topped off with strips of bacon, pepper jack processed cheese and 'special sauce'.

Who thinks the special sauce isn't a Thousand Islands dressing but a Lipitor concoction?

Do you think it's right for fast food chains to cash in on such stunt menu choices when we're dealing with rising obesity rates, and governments being recommended to legally set a limit on salt levels in food? (From that same link: "The average Canadian consumes 3,400 milligrams of salt each day, more than double the recommended 1,200 to 1,500 mg").

This product idea is the fault of the corporation that currently owns the KFC brand. I'm sure that if Colonel Harland Sanders could hear what this corporation is trying to do with the original chicken product i.e. adding fattening bacon and cheese, how gross is that; he would probably roll over in his grave.

I am presently writing a book about senior entrepreneurs and Colonel Sanders is one of my business models.

I remember reading somewhere that KFC went from 'Kentucky Fried Chicken' to 'KFC' because they wanted to gloss over the 'fried' — I wonder then, Joe, if KFC is going the opposite way with their business model. I know that McDonald's is currently pushing healthy, so maybe this stunt is a counter-move? Be curious to know further about your work on senior entrepreneurs and Colonel Sanders.
