The Church of Jesus Christ...His people in a building or a building of His people.

One simple truth I hope we may want to remember. The children will remind us...Jesus loves me.....simple but true.
Faith doesn't need to be complicated.

You know so much evil has been perpetrated in the name of God and not following scripture - His will for us. I think of the Inquisition, the Crusades (aspects of it) the many saints killed by other so called Christians and wonder what God must think of man today. Are we any better? Now political correctness rules. Well strangely enough if one thinks of it, Jesus was the most politically incorrect person on the planet. He called a spade a spade and reamed people out when then needed it as we all know. Matt 23:13 to the end of the chapter is a good example of Jesus reaming out the Pharisees and Scribes. Who would do that today? Most would say, don't that's not loving! Jesus used tough love!

My post was to show what God says about the subject of homosexuality which was discussed here that is all. I mean no disrespect to any one's views just that God has a very specific view Himself. Proverbs states how God feels about people who sin. Let God speak for Himself in this matter instead of second guessing Him is all I want to say.

Although I am not in any agreement with the protesters at the funerals of our service men here in he states and feel they should be prosecuted, I do have something to say about the topics being discussed on the posts. I only wish to post what the Bible says nothing more or less and do not wish to start an argument. Romans 1:19-32 especially26-28; Lev 18:22 and how God views the sinner, Proverbs 6:16-21. This is given only as food for thought.

Hi to all

As we know God Loves everyone and we are to be like Him. I say he loves the sinner hates the sin.
I am ashamed to think that any one calling themselves a Christian would slander His name like this. In a world where Christianity is under attack we should be carefull what comes out of our mouths. God will take care of these people its not our job to judge.

I wonder if you are referring to the group in the states that has been in the news. They picket soldier's funerals with signs which say hateful things like " God hates fags". It makes me so ashamed to think that anyone who knows the love of God could say He hates anyone. And the world often looks at all of us as espousing those attitudes. On the CBC site there was even a literate support written arguably from a pastor or member of a very strict sect. It all brings shame on the name of Jesus. Horrid.

Don, what you are doing is great, There are so many hurting people who are often misunderstood and need people who won't put them down.

Lord Bless

That is good news Don -- very encouraging to hear about your Recovery Retreat. Yes, it is sometimes tough to be kind with some people but it does always reap benefits down the road.

Being kind to everyone is sometimes a challenge but is always worth the effort. We had a wonderful Celebrate Recovery Retreat at Nanoose Bay Camp last weekend with 5 non-Christians accepting the Lord for the first time and 10 who had been struggling in their faith rededicating their lives to the Lord. Monday night at our weekly Glad Tidings Celebrate Recovery meeting most of them got up and shared what God had done in their lives over the weekend. These are people who for the most part are recovering addicts who have been shown kindness by Christians and have responded to that love. So encouraging!
