Hi Fran

I think there might just be a very good turn out this year.  The powers that be are tying this track with the Chinese Year of the Horse and plan to hold quite a few  celebrations and demonstrations to hopefully attract the large Chinese community who are notorious gamblers, and hopefully draw in a lot of curious patrons on both sides of the border.  Kathleen Wynn has a lot more fore site than Dalton Mcginty had.

Whatever happens, at least it's open for a least this year.

Hi Fran

It just so happens that I'm in St. Catharines at the moment and there is a chance I'll be at Ft. Erie on Sunday myself.  Either then or Tuesday evening.

I've been in Saratoga for the last week and stopped overnight at Finger Lakes on my way here.  Interesting to see some of these tracks in person.

Maybe I'll see you there.

I don't know Barbara. I have to work from 10 to noon and after that is when my oldest daughter usually calls to go out for the afternoon. I'll see if I can talk her into going. Would be nice to be there for opening day!

Hey Cindy

Short notice, but I'm coming down tomorrow.  The weather looks like it's going to clear by tomorrow afternoon, but cold.  I have an appointment first, but should get there by about one up in Champions.  You coming over Gary?

Still don't know for sure about the 20th, but put the Saturday after the Derby (i think it's the 11) on your calendar.  That's my annual birthday party. That's a definite..  I was going to email you this morning.

Don't  know yet. It depends on whether she'll be with me that weekend. I'll talk to Basil this week. Have to check a calender first to be clear on the dates.
