There must be more than 2 avid knitters in Zoomerland! Tell me what you're knitting today. I just started a moss stitch cardigan in a goreous bamboo/angora. Heavenly.Continue

I am knitting socks and a summer top  done in seed stitch, Does crochet qualify here? I am doing runners for the tables at the Day Away program I volunteer  with.

I haven't heard of Canadian Food for Children, Helga, but I'll check it out on the internet. It sounds like a good cause. My moss stitch sweater is coming along verrrry slowly :( Life gets in the way may of knitting sometimes! I'm going to Thedford to visit my sister for the long weekend so I should get more work done it there. We will knit, chat, and maybe drink a little wine. I look forward to the vist.

I have joined the knitters at Village Mosaic in Toronto who are knitting hats and scarves for the Out of the Cold program and also lap blankets, hats and vests [sleeveless sweaters] for the CFFC charity [Canadian Food for Children] who send them to countries in South America and Africa. That way I can make use of my wool stash and help some deserving people at the same time.

Oh, yes, sock are oh so addictive. My sister and I dyed sock wool with neon food colouring last summer (we also did some Kool Aid dying) so I know what you mean about the pyschedelic socks, Judy. They are certainly conversation starters!. What's the Rockin Sock Club?

Recently joined the Rockin Sock Club and am now an official Notorious Sock Knitter.  I've been knitting since I was a kid.  My knitting projects change as my life changes.  During my daughters elementary and high school years,  I knit mitts by the dozen...for my daughter and any of her friends who needed mitts.  Now socks have become my favourite knitting project.  I recently helped a young friend knit a scarf for her boyfriend.  So glad to see young people knitting.  Just finished a patterned pair of socks for my daughter to send to her for Easter.  Now trying a new pattern for socks out of the most fantastic hand-dyed yarn called "electric kool-aid acid test" which is as pyschedelic as it sounds.  Everybody may be getting hippy socks as birthday gifts this year.

Are you as obsessed with knitting as I am? My pals and I live, talk and breath knitting and yarn. It has become a big hit with younger folks too.

My present projects include a top down cardigan of my own design and a pair of warm cotton socks for my partners sister. This past Christmas I did dozens of pairs of socks, toques, scarves and baby items.

What do you have on your needles?
