The Official Zoomer Book Club

Let's talk about books. I think we have begun to lose our abilities to sit down and stay still and simply read. Maybe the "old-fashioned good book" will enrich us, help decompress our busy selves. Let's write about what we like to read about.

I put a hold on the book at the Milton library..I am 1st on the list. The local library had 9 holds on 2 copies.

While waiting for suspect..I checked out the Last Detective and Demolition Angel by Robert Crais.

Kobo gives Suspect by Robert Crais 4 stars out of 5.

I downloaded a preview of it. It is $15.99 on Kobo.

"The explosive new masterpiece from the #1 New York Times best selling author.

That's a pretty good rating.

Maybe I can borrow it from the library, downloaded to my Kobo?

Alex - I am really enjoying it. It is just 9:30 and I am heading up to bed (my favourite time and place to read) to get back into it.

Oh I hope you like Suspect Barbara, it's one of those that I was sad to finish as I enjoyed it so much.

I think I will follow the advice of Dennis and Alexander and get more of Robert Crais' books and also the Jackie Collins one she's always good for a little distraction

I'm not sure about Nicholas Sparkes I did read one of his and was not too keen. I can't remember which one it was now.

I have a bit of travelling to do this week so some light stuff will be good.

Just finished Safe Haven (which is now a movie) by Nicholas Sparkes and really enjoyed it. Would almost always rather read the book before the movie comes out.

Have started Suspect.

When I read comments about a good book, I go to my Kobo desktop and look it up. Since I already have so many on Kobo, I usually get the Preview. Then later, if I like it, I can buy it from the Preview.

I didn't have Da Vinci Code, but since Kobo was offering it free for a week, I downloaded that one too.

After watching Marie Antoinette, the film, I wanted to read more about her. Kobo didn't have Antoinia Fraser's book, so I got The Life of Marie Antoinette, Queen of France by Charles Duke Young.

I want to read Canadian Shane Joseph's book, The Ulysses Man. I have it on my Kobo too.
