Have been watching "The Jewel in the Crown" (1984) which I vaguely remember seeing years ago. Might end up acquiring it as it's a good lesson in history plus excellent actors, some say the best drama series ever made. One can't help thinking also of "A Passage to India" (1984), very similar but on a less grand scale.

Some friends went to see her, and said she made the show, great ovations for her, and a REALLY RECEPTIVE audience of Jessica Fletcher fans.

Big mess in Ukraine, I'm sorry to see.

Hope you are well, Goldie.  Up early, or still up from last night?

Hi Goldie!

Boy, you are not the only person I know with THAT Never go-away Flu.

Just feel better for a day and bang, it nails you again.

Yes, good that we are doing something to help the Ukraine.

Will have a look at the website.  Thanks.

One day at a time, will beat this!  :-)

Hi Lynne - Just a rather late reply to you. Have been laid low with flu which hit me around Nov 5 out of the blue. Could only rest up and hope for better days, trying to get some strength back so taking one day at a time.

Have been caught up in the Ukraine conflict. The weasel Putin is deliberately trying to destroy Ukraine and it's so unjust. Good to hear today about our Canadian Govt providing winter equipment to Ukraine soldiers. They should send a few tanks too! The website "euromaidanpress" is very good for information if you're interested. Am hoping things will improve for me soon. - bye for now, G.
