The first thing I would recommend is that you put the photos you want to share in an album created either by google, picassa or on sympatico. Either one of these sites offer photo albums. And they're…Continue

Hi Megan,

I did my trip through Globus . This is a tour built by Canadians especially for Canadians and really worth taking . If you would like, just send me your email and I will forward you a copy of the itinerary. Sorry for the late reply!

Hi Carol:  Would you give a few more details of your trip, please?  I am planning a trip to England, Vimy & Italy next year.  Did you use a tour company or plan the trip yourself?

Thanks, Megan

Hi, I just returned from a Canadian War Memorial Tour  for Canadians of WWI and WW II. It started in France, into Belgium and ended in England A tour I believe everyone should take once as it shows us just how much we should prize our freedom and the sacrifices made by so many .

Good Evening. I love to travel and take photos. Here's a link to my blog with pictures from Calabria, southern Italy. My grandmother was born there and I went to her village to learn more about her. Has anyone been to Calabria. Excited to see your photos. Thanks. Marianne from Canada

Hi Ruth:  Have you tried the site airbnb.com?  My daughter has used it for places to stay in New York City & our upcoming trip to England & France.  The person offering their place for rent has to pay a fee so it keeps most of the bad places out.  My daughter has used ones with a few comments.  Our apartments in New York City in 2010 and 2012 were great!  I hope you find the perfect place!  Enjoy your trip!

Hello

looking for websites for private condos or houses to rent in Ft. Myers or Bonita Springs areas of florida. have not read this group for a while and I notice not too many comments.  Pls everyone share for locations within 4 km of ocean coast that are under 800.00 a week.

happy new year to all zoomers and travellers

I've been to Scotsdale; my father went there when he retired. it was mostly retirees there then; whole trailer parks full of them. But the air was cleaner there then, I'm not so sure about it now.and it is warm, it's all desert.

Evelyn, enjoy yourself.

Megan - The only experience I have with renting a self-catering flat is in London - it has lots of options.  Greenwich is a part of London so you might find something there - I've always stayed more central.  Google is your friend - see what you can find in the smaller places and the distances from each other - there are likely cottages for rent.  In places like Yorkshire, I think you would need a car.

Hi Carolyn.  When I go over with my daughter & son-in-law we were thinking of staying in places where we could prepare our meals.  Any suggestions or tips?  We are going to be in Ashburton & Tiverton, Devon; Greenwich; Lightcliffe, Yorkshire; Grimsby; Whitworth, Lancashire.  I haven't spent time checking the distance between the places that I know are in roughly the same area, yet.  We are also trying to decide if we need to rent a vehicle very often to visit places.

Have a great time Evelyn!!!  I'll be looking forward to seeing any pics to post.
