AtticsRemember in the "old days" when houses used to have attics? I was fascinated with exploring my grandnother's attic in New Edinburgh, Ottawa. The attic was accessed by a pull-down set of steps…Continue

I had the same problem at the Ferrari dealership here!!!
I've heard that the Hyundai Accent is a very good car. Enjoy!!!
Hi Gary. I would love to not need a car at all but when you live in a rural area like I do, it is a necessity. It woud cost me a fortune to rent on just for the twice monthly trips to Pembroke, trips to Renfrew and the several trips I make every year to Ottawa. It would probably, in the long run, cost as much to rent one as it would to make payments. Oh well, that's rural living for you.
Gary: I thought you said that you were going to rent a car if you needed it and you were not going to buy a car!!! What kind of car did you buy? Bob Stuart
I lease my car now and the lease is up in May of 2013. I am toying whether or not to look at leasing again or buying. I would like a SUV as those big heavy half tons and vans block the view at stop signs. I like the idea of not having to worry about anything going wrong with the vehicle. Before this I had a second hand car even though it was a good car, I still had payments on it and repairs. It seems it doesn't matter what you do we need a car and you can't win. Thats what I think. Linda
Gary, that isn't many miles on a car for it io be acting up, I just sold my 2001 Highlander with over 250,000 km. The engine was so quiet you had to listen to make sure it was still running. Car payments take a big chunk out of your budget. Sometimes I think it is cheaper to lease and when the lease is up bye, bye or you can buy it out.
I'm in the same boat as you, Gary. I hate the thought of car payments again. Mine is running good and only has 88,000km but I have had to have some major work done on it lately. I'm thinking about trying to find something nearly new and gently used for running around town and keeping the other one for longer trips. I can't get anything for it so I might as well keep driving it.
The weather here today doesn't know what it wants to do. It was beautiful this morning and then it turned cloudy. Now the sun is trying to peek through. We're supposed to get some nasty weather tonight. More snow and then turning to rain.
Guess I'll go out now before it gets bad. I hope it doesn't get bad until later. I want to go out for a pancake supper tonight at one of the local churches.
Well CreekEnd_UK didyou make that variety your self and set that table. Desserts look yummy and the table set lovely.
I just signed up for subscribtion to the New York Times; I read plenty before, I'll read even more now.
