Gary, that isn't many miles on a car for it io be acting up, I just sold my 2001 Highlander with over 250,000 km. The engine was so quiet you had to listen to make sure it was still running. Car payments take a big chunk out of your budget. Sometimes I think it is cheaper to lease and when the lease is up bye, bye or you can buy it out.

I'm in the same boat as you, Gary.  I hate the thought of car payments again.  Mine is running good and only has 88,000km but I have had to have some major work done on it lately.  I'm thinking about trying to find something nearly new and gently used for running around town and keeping the other one for longer trips.  I can't get anything for it so I might as well keep driving it.

The weather here today doesn't know what it wants to do.  It was beautiful this morning and then it turned cloudy.  Now the sun is trying to peek through.  We're supposed to get some nasty weather tonight.  More snow and then turning to rain.

Guess I'll go out now before it gets bad.  I hope it doesn't get bad until later.  I want to go out for a pancake supper tonight at one of the local churches.

Sorry, it was Gary that asked that, not Barbara.

NO, Barbara, I don't want my newspaper on line, or movies or a book reader. I prefer tranditional ways .

Hi gang

Luck was with me yesterday thanks I think to all your well wishes.  I'm now home in my own home.  Yesterday I had the luck to have my old doctor who is now working in the hospital, be the one I saw.  He is wonderful in explaining all that has gone on.  My blood is where it should be and he told me exacty what to expect and how much I can do.  I feel much easier now. I was met at home with a bevy of friends who saw the blinds up at home.  A lot of them didn't know I was at my daughters and were worried that I was still in the house lying on the floor somewhere.  Some of them had called the hospital I was in and other hospitals trying to find me.  I guess the next few days are going to be taken up with visitors.

Sull and dreary out, but I dont care

Well Barb, I hope all goes well with you at the hospital and you're on the road of recovery. It will be great to get home, nothing like it.

Its a mild winter and I sure appreciate it.

You can have your TV, but don't even try to take away even one of my computers,  My microwave either for that matter.

We are going back to the hospital in an hour for my check up.  Wish me luck.  If all goes well, I'm going home.  I'm already packed.

It is strange how important these gadgets become. I did without a computer for a lot of years, now , I'm lost without mine , every day.Television the same way, and microwave.
