Well, so far the great snow storm of the winter has turned out to be a non-event here. My deck is bare and dry.
Gary, how is that new-car feeling? 6L/100km works out to just under 40 miles per imperial gallon.
Barb, it looks as if we might make it for your appointment after all.
Have a great weekend, Everybody.
I hope they are gas savers!
Annette Red sky at night, snow plowman's delight.
Snow coming into night Winter Storm warning are up,, 1-2 inches tomigh for here, Auburn just 14 miles north 4-7 inches Angloa 45 miles north 6-10 inches, so my 1-2 inches I'll take, its the end of Feb, be blessed for just 1-2 inches not feet..March is right around the corner, Rose plants are in the stores, bushes are budding out.. Alexander, I'm looking at a glorious sunset and just thinking of what's supposed to be behind it.
Marilyn, mine is even the same colour as yours. Cheers. That must have been a great year.
Their seems to be two of us Annette with great cars, A toast to us !
Anette glad you did it today and not tomorrow, drive save.
I've had a good day. Made the round trip to Toronto - about 300km - on less than half a tank of gas so my mileage is around 6L/100km. It's often less than 6 in the summer. I dropped my '95 Tercel off at the Toyota dealership and went off to have lunch with a friend. I got a call before we were finished lunch that it was ready to be picked up. Nothing but routine service maintenance required. This car has gone through all that 16 Canadian winters can throw at it, and last summer it was ridden hard and put away wet many times while I was moving. Total cost for the day including gas and lunch, less than $300. I love my Tercel.
NOt bad for 95, that has been out in the winter months, spring 99.98%of the time every thing London, Ont. winters (every other weekend for 2 1/2 yr, Portland Oregon rains, snow and hot dry summer for 3 yrs, Heat of Palm Springs, California for couple of years and Indiana several years.. ahah Were she sits, is were I normally leave her when I arrrive home, Don't have auto door oper so and I hate going into dark gargage late at night, Keeping my fingers cross, She has 90% factory installed parts, just had to deal with normal wear, she still has the orginal main drive belt ! Interio is in great shape, just needs detailing after this winter. And depending on road contition but most of the time I get arund 28 miles to the gallon with air on..I feel so so so blessed, my little $3000 car 15 yrs ago has paid for its self in gold..ahah
