Hi Gary

Thank you for the info.  The adjuster did get in touch with me last week.  I talked to him on Mon and he is supposed to call back today to get as much settled as possible.  I am not signing off on anything until it is settled to my satisfaction.

Ive got my yearly dose of "walking" pneumonia so I'm not in the best of humour.  The adjuster figures it is going to take a good hour on the phone today so it should be interesting.  He is going to get an earful.

The restoration people were here this morning with the new sink for the bathroom.  I have a 2 year warranty with them as far a their work goes.

Now back to getting caught up on the posts I've missed since Sun.

Gary, I wish I could say that marshaling is a safer way to see the sport, I was the Chief Course Marshall at Gimli Motorsport Park when it first opened, sadly I have witnessed two marshals getting badly hurt, while both have fully recovered, they spent several weeks in hospital, the only other injuries I've seen at Gimli where from bike racers.

Nor will I ever forget the 1996 Molson Indy (I was at every race from 1986 to 2000, except for 1998) when Jeff Krosnoff was killed and a marshal Gary Avrin (I think he was from Michigan) also died as a result of the crash.

I have raced myself and always had a word of thanks for the dedicated volunteers who stood around the track, watching for our safety, while we enjoyed our favorite sport.

As far as NASCAR is concerned, yes it is quite a spectacle, because of the number of cars on the track and the high speeds because of the banked ovals, while I appreciate the skills required (I never drove on an oval and the highest speed I ever achieved is just over 200kph) its also pretty much a procession, sprinkled with a few laps of "excitement" when a crash happens (I detest crashes of any kind), give me races (F1, various touring series) where the steering has to be turned left and right, gear shifting and braking, then you'll have me on the edge of my seat.

I was all set to get started on the job and found I have about six more hours of material to download.  Thank goodness that doesn't mean in real time.  In fact it just finished.  So now to have at it.  If I'm not on here for a while, that will be why.

And yes, Gary, I am well stocked up on coffee.  I got two eighteen-pack boxes of Keurig yesterday when Barb and I were in Staples, plus what I had before.  That will do me for a while.
