I liked WOTS better when it was in its early years on Queen St. It doesn't have the same ambience spread all over the park. I've been there almost every year. Helped at the Writers & Editors Network booth. We introduced the balloons to make us more noticable because we were new. Next year, everyone was using balloons! I was one of the founders of the Writers & Editors Network. You can get more good free books and $2 books from publishers there than you can possibly carry home!

I have Mozart's Flute Concertos played by Sharon Bezaly and the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, Juha Kangas.

I like the clarinet too - Martin Fröst, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Peter Oundjian, conductor.

Hope I got all the names spelled correctly.

I think I have a CD in my collection bought from a street musician in Toronto during Word On The Street when it was on Queen Street.

That Mayan flute is impressive! Really nice music. One of the musicians on the street had a clay pipe playing a similar style.

The Peruvian music is good. Guess all flute music is good.

Love Zamphir's music, too.

Great Music Gary.  St James Infirmary especially.

Columbia pipes might be the pan flutes.  Try Zamphir - totally awesome.

Love New Orlean's even better whe you have friends down there were you can stay and they know the area. If I have been down there in my younger years, I would most likely still be down there.!! it totally rocks.. Love the poeple, food, music and total atmosphere

I can were my big brim hats and sandles, have few drinks and dance in the strees and no one cares..Love the art work too, open fresh air style of homes with private court yards. But on the other hand, humdity, is like no other, not even Florida, and theres crawling creatures, that you find in your shoe or run across your floor... I can do without. !!

Great music from many along the street during Art Crawl. Two were Colombian, traditional music on the pipes. Very nice sound. Not as much jazz. On the way home, along York, a young woman with a violin was playing traditional Cape Breton style fiddling music with a drumnmer accompanying. They were very good. Felt like dancing.
