Hi, Dianne! Yes, often being perhaps too willing to sacrifice oneself results in a lack of respect from the other person. I think confidence and a giving nature are important in a healthy relationship...giving more than one has is always a mistake...it is simply draining. I was momgomous in all my relationships. I thought that was how one was to be.
I just left a 14 year relationships, I was truly, madly, deeply in love. And as passionately dismissed.
I don't understand people turning to tohers when there is someone at home willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy, even if it mean sacrificing oneself.
And ther-in lies my problem.
But your column is a cooling breeze in this muggy horrible heat.

Hi all came to this forum to learn!!! will add more later.I find my writing skills(lack there of ) comes in sprints and now is not one of them!!! Had a wonderful afternoon with my grandaughter who introduced me to her girlfriend and we all had a great time.. I realized I have a lot to learn!!! STILL!!
Robin...thanks for starting this forum - I read you on WIT but have not added to it for a bit...but will soon as with this site.
