I'm starting a discussion re. the best jamming songs - you know, if you're ever asked to play or sit in and you're not sure what the other people know, and you need something fun and easy?

I was thinking of a couple of 'one chord' songs that come to mind like "Run Through the Jungle" by Creedence or "One Thing Leads to Another" by the Fixx.

Any ideas people? Any other one chorder's or something simple?

Born in the USA is a one-chorder. Not much in there for us Canucks, though.

Here's a quick list of crowd-pleasers in random order:

Gimme Some Lovin' (Steve Winwood)
Rockin' in the Free World
Sweet Home Alabama (I know, I know! But it is easy to switch "Alabama" to "Ca-na-da-a")
Black Betty
Crossroads
Brown-eyed Girl
The Boys Are Back in Town (The Busboys version)

Let's see if anyone can come up with more …
Looking forward to jamming with you and McLean next week, Eric. Wonder if we should get him to bring some video gear and broadcast it for our friends here on Zoomers.ca -- hmmmm...??

NeMo
Sounds good, Neil. I'll see you next week. I'll drop a note to MMG. We should be able to get a couple of tunes together that might make the grade :-]
I absolutely love jamming to these.
Kansas City
Sweet Home Chicago

or any other great blues style stuff.

Re: "Sweet Home Alabama"
We now have the option of switching right into "All Summer Long"
