Steve's Red Wine and Blues just made number one on local charts! Great! Will help to cheer him up when he goes in for major surgery in January!

I watched the Leonard Cohen Concert from Montreal recently on TV. I wonder if anyone knows the name of the singer who sang "Everybody Knows." I am including his photo.

Hi All:

Just wanted you all to know that our Gala Concert was a huge sucess, about 400-450 in attendance and working with 88 year old, Sir David Willcocks was a treat! The audience gave him 2 standing ovations and one encore.

One more concert to go Nov 2nd at Lake Street Armouries in St. Catharines'...same program as I've been promoting...Canadian Premiere of "Lux Perpetua" and the Niagara Premiere of "Houses That Stand Not Far Apart" at 3:00 p.m. with both Chorus Niagara and the Orpheus Choir of Toronto...we'd love to have you come!

Ciao for now,

WIW

Hey All:

Being new to this site...I didn't know what I could say or not say. I just wanted you all to know about our amazing concert in both Toronto (Nov 1) and St. Catharines (Nov 2) of the "Houses that Stand Not Far Apart" and "Lux Perptua" with guest and international conductor Sir David Willcocks...he's 88 years old and still going strong.

This concert is all about a "Remembrance Day" themed event. I like what our Artistic Director Robert Cooper says about this concert:
“The Houses Stand Not Far Apart by Estacio and Murrell is a sweeping lyrical expression of the duality of human conflict and peaceful coexistence. Coupled with Willcocks’ uplifting paean to peace, Lux Perpetua, this programme provides for us a needed reminder of the values and import of Remembrance Day in these troubled times of world strife.”

So please check out our website at www.orpheuschoirtoronto.com or call our box office at (416) 530-4428 or email us for info at orpheuschoir@sympatico.ca..

Let me know that you are "Zoomer"...if we get a great response from you all in the GTA area...I'll look at creating a special "zoomer" price for our remaining concerts of the season.
Seniors and Students $25.00

I'm the Marketing and Communications Manger for the Orpheus Choir of Toronto...please let me know if you see or hear our ads on Classical 96.3 FM and on BRAVO News!
