Can't you tell how happy we are to be sitting in the sunny south away from the banks of snow that were about 8feet high when we left. It has been a winter from H___!
Enjoying , friends and compaany and thinking of the poor souls freezing at home. It is starting to warm up there.
We are just east of Edmonton.
Today we are looking at 78 which is warmer as it has been cold here this winter with frozen water pipes and fountains. but we shall not complain after seeing all the horrific weather in the eastern states.
Out to sit in the sun and drink my coffee. hope some of you got away for the winter. we are so lucky.

We are in Quito, Ecuador for the winter, not as warm as on the beach but it is a welcome change from sitting in the cold back home. We also live east of Edmonton and are so happy to be here riding the city buses and getting to know the country as well as the people.
Here are a few photo's of Quito, Ecuador.... A lovely place to enjoy the winter and a great place to learn the Spanish language.

Heading to White Rock for a visit. Some of the Westerners pick unusual spots to vacation, for sure. Quito sounds pretty interesting. And Arizona has such quirky places,Jerome was amazing. Loved the Asylum Restaurant with its view across the valley to Sedona. Quartzville, sounds a bit off the beaten path, too. Was in Cuba this winter just for short trip at Christmas.
