I really enjoyed shooting this particular balloon at the London (Ont.) Hot Air Balloon Festival last year. All of the balloons had their own beauty (even the Remax ones!) as they filled and lifted into the blue sky; however, this balloon stirred me up and I love sharing it with others. I am so very proud to be a third generation Canadian, and this image reminds me of that. How blessed we are to be living in such a beautiful country and to have wonderful people care for and defend it and all it stands for. I am pleased that it can be enjoyed (the picture and the country!).

God bless our troops in Afghanistan for putting their lives on the line for us... my thoughts are with them every day.. I wish I could see more people wearing RED on Fridays in support of them...(not the war.. the soldiers !)
