Too much variety, not enough activity

I have been a member of this site for about a month now and check in almost every day...sometimes even several times a day.. and find that there are so many different groups and sites but many of them seem to be dormant. There seems little point in posting a comment on something that is several months old as no one seems to be coming back to look at it. Would some consolodidation or even pruning be in order?
