"The garlic remedy sounds good except that you have to make sure no one is around you. Wonder if it would work if you can roast the garlic in the oven; I was given a recipe and in that it said that you can take the whole garlic and just cut off the…"
Thanks for your note. I just totally messed up my page that you admired! LOL!!! That's me! Always experimenting! Yes, I know you lived in Muskoka from our communications a few months ago. Glad to hear from you! Be well.... Barb"
Shoveling snow. This past fall I moved to five acres in the country. Yep, having been a city slicker all my life, I finally dove in to live my dream of country living. I've been snowed-in mostly, but my good neighbor assures me the winters are not normally this bad. Well, I still have my Vancouver home just in case (I'm not that crazy)!
Besides all the fun stuff in the country, I have two totally different businesses. A wholesale manufacturing business in the pet industry and a couple of network marketing businesses. Love them both but I must say network marketing is a lot easier!
Added May 19th, 2009: OK, I have had a lot of requests for information about my network marketing businesses. Obviously, I am happy to post them here as it is free advertising. Feel free to check them out:
1) Not for the faint of heart: www.alivingsuccess.com
Big ticket business. I am passionate about the product and the business.
2) Affordable business, easy, with passive income www.RabbitMoney.com
3) Health in a Bottle: I am 53 years old and swear by this product. Keeping me young and healthy:) You don't have to do the business. I have a lot of people just into consuming the product:) I love the name,Youth Juice. www.ourworldnetwork/WearingOrganic
Ok, for all those out there looking for an online opportunity, please be careful. I have been burned a number of times so do your due diligence and to your success!
I love all animals and nature (I'm one of those people who picks up bugs in the house and gently carries them outside).
Hiking. Just got back into it (the shoveling got me back into shape for it).
I also enjoy gardening, travel, reading, personal development, and business development.
Easy listening and country. EEEEhaaaa!
Favourite TV Shows
mmmm...I haven't been watching too much but I do enjoy Oprah, Ellen, and CSI.
Sister Act because it is light and fun and I always feel great after I watch it!
Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill. A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle.
Well, I'm a zoomer and proud of it! Aren't you?!
I am a city slicker gone country (with my toe still in the city). I have a hobby farm south of Nanaimo, BC that I share with two ducks, a disabled goose, a parrot, and three dogs. I support animal rescue and have done quite a bit of it myself.
I have really just started living and being all I can be the past few years. My previous profession was as an Occupational Therapist in psychiatry (which I really enjoyed), but I always had the entrepreneurial spirit in me. For years I gobbled down gems of wisdom until I got the guts to spit them out and use them! My biggest obstacle in being all I can be? Fear.
My favorite quote: "If You Always Do What You've Done,
You Always Get What You've Got".
Alright, I've got another one: "Success is sensible. Trust someone who has walked the path, follow, and then lead another".
Looking forward to networking, learning, and hearing your stories. To your success in 2009!

I am ready for some fantastic fortune. I am blessed to have been mostly healthy all my life and I wouldn't trade that. I need a retirement pot now, or just some ordinary pot if I can get it. LOL!!! You sound like you've done things right. Nice of you to notice me. Thanks for being a friend.
...thanks for welcoming me to the site....Nice photos (I enjoy seeing photos of picturesque spots around the world!...I grew up in a "foreign service" family, so moved around a lot overseas)
And I love talking about Spain so feel free to ask questions! It is a great place to travel in, people are very open and friendly, prices not so bad right now, transportation is good (fabulous new roads to everywhere). And I think walking the Camino is the perfect way to connect with the land and history first...tack on visits to the cities at start and end. Also, something I am planning to do in the future, check out the "Pueblo Ingles" website. They are recruiting volunteers to speak English to Spaniards for a week at a time in cute Spanish villages, transportation from Madrid and all room and board provided.
I love the sound of your farm...I certainly loved my agricultural experience in Israel.
