I have travelled extensively around the world. I am a newly wed. Have 10 grand-babies, the newest arrival was welcomed to our family on January 18/11. I am left/right brain person, which confuses my boss. ;)
hi maggie, coming back to the mother land are yah! should be nice by may. where abouts is the wedding? my daughter's is getting married in september. how fun! i lived in bc for 15 years, went out in the 70's but always missed four seasons and home. so here i am. re: the image. i would be very honoured if you wanted to use a likness. you're the expert but i'm thinking that water colour would be a good medium for it. i joined zoomers a few months ago.. it's a nice calm friendly place to belong to. i'm also a facebooker. which i do like but it has an edgy vibe i think. so glad you enjoyed the golden drift, i was back there today for another snow storm. loved it and got some short films done. now i find i couldn't upload them. sheesh. saw several varieties of waterfowl, lesser scaup, canvass back, swans and maybe some mergansers. i love my little jaunts to the lake side. but it wa snowing badly with the wind beginning to howl so i headed for home. i suppose if you are in the lower mainland that by now the crab apple are blooming as the spring gardens are up. i miss the mountains and being able to garden several harvests of vegies per year but i'm very happy here. haven't been back to b.c since '96. anyway talk soon take care. j*
hey maggie thanks for the kind word about my golden drifts photo. tell you what can you give me an idea of what you'll do with it, or give me a sample of your work. this was taken along the shores of lake on ontario with the temps at -25 the wind howling and as the sun was setting and the drifts were ploughing across the road i with frozen fingers took this image.
"The founding fathers of the United States ate berries, green beans, wild turkey, oysters, cornmeal cakes, apple pandowdy (pie), ice cream, beer, boiled veggies, and hard cider. Seems pretty much what people still eat today. I guess…"
"Are you Canadians allowed to shoot off fireworks? My neighborhood sounds like a war zone, and good luck driving the roads, with all the fireworks debris spread across the roads. We are kinda fanatical about our fireworks! LOL."
