I know what you mean about Easter being busy. I had all my family over plus Peter and a friend of Liz's. The night before I didn't sleep after 4:00 am and was exhausted after all the preparations. It's taken me 2 days to recuperate!

Hello, its me again, the most important thing I left out is have your husband wear a MEDIC-ALERT identification because it SPEAKS for you in case of an emergency, anywhere in the world, there is a toll-free number to use and most important, thing to remember always keep info up to date added medication, change of address added illnesses, etc. clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca

H ello MARGARET, My advice to those I meet who are serious about their diabetes, is to follow these BASIC RULES, 1. The person who knows MOST about their diabetes, WILL LIVE THE LONGEST. 2, have a good diabetic team ( diabetic specialist, dietitan, podiatrist, social worker, pharmacist), 3, Listen to your BODY it tells you when to eat, what to eat, snack, EXERCISE, rest and sleep.. 4, Have a DIABETIC BUDDY, someone you are in contact with EVERYDAY, just to keep in touch. Why not try my AMIGOKIT way of diabetes social support, it means calling 5 DIABETICS, EVERYDAY, and having each person call 5 DIABETICS, EVERYDAY. Have your husband start off each meal with a glass of water, after intaking the good foods, there will be no room for the bad foods. I am still looking for ways to add LIFE to my YEARS, and YEARS to my LIFE and am going to WEAR out, not RUST, OUT. So far I feel like a kid with a new toy in operating as a computer rookie, and so far have 95 new friends, and sharing experiences and realize how little I know and how much I need to learn. Keep in touch. clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca
