I just wanted to stop by to say Thank you!
It was wonderful of you to be freind a stranger in her hard times.
I want to let you that for some reason, my old puppies are pretty well again, I know it won't last for long, but I am ok with living day by day. It has 4 days now and I am enjoying the rest and them and having you as my new friend.
I don't know if you believe in God I sure do and I believe he never gives us more then we can handle and he gives us help as well; as long as we are willing to ask for it in whatever form and we that we are open to recieving it as well in whatever form.
You really touched me, by reaching out to me like you did. I wish this world had more people like you if we did we would all be better off. You are really special.
My Warmest Regards JackieO
One of the best things I've joined in recent years is the Red Hatters. We have gone to plays, had car rallys, book exchanges, breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and even gone to the race track. I don't take part in every activity, but I do really enjoy the ones I do attend. Most recently I suggested we hold "Christmas in July" and I had everyone go buy their presents at the dollar store. We got dressed up and had dinner at a local restaurant, and opened the presents, one by one, so everyone could see what was in them. You would be amazed at the lovely gifts we assembled (I let them spend no more than $5 total if they wanted to decorate one item with another, or group like items in the gift bag). It was such a wonderful evening, we are considering making it an annual affair. This week we will be having breakfast, and swapping paperbacks while we are at it. I only knew a couple of these women before I joined, but I've made some good friends since.
Hi Nelly.....I'm the one that wrote about falling.....
I notice you mention all the time you on your hands since retiring just a couple of years ago. I've been "retired" for over 34 years and cannot imagine how people find time to hold down a job! I have many interests and never have time to get bored. Do you have any hobbies, or do any volunteer work?
