Hello again Penny, thanks for dropping a line. I'm still living @ home in Udora.

Our house is still on the market despite having it painted throughout and hiring a Stagger to make it look more appealing. It looks great but I feel like I'm living in showroom at Leon's.

Anyway, I still have some significant changes to go through that will make the Fall interesting. I've been spending much of my time alone trying not to get too bummed out.

Sunday night I went to see the new Peter Jackson film - DISTRICT 9. I found it a little hard to watch as my stomach was a little upset. The movie itself has some very thought provoking themes that are mirrored throughout the world. Let me know what you think - If you dare enter District 9.

Hey Penny, let me know if you are up for coffee some time or would that be tea, being that your British and all - my treat.

Take care, Allistair

Hello again Penny, thanks for you recent photo contributions to Zoomers. I love them all - and as I type in this late hour, Elton John sings one of my favs - nice on all counts.

Hope you are well, take care, Allistair

Hello Penny, thanks so much for your words of support and encouragement. I have the sense you are a wise soul who has been blessed with more than artistic talents. God bless you.

I have combined driving in the country and listening to classical music as part of my self-care. It may not be so hot for the environment but it does put my mind in a different place.

I especially love classical music - I have regular bubble baths with Chopin. Listening to something so beautiful can inspire and heal the soul - this I believe.

Please have a great week and check in soon,

Allistair

Hello my artistic friend. Penny, thanks so much for dropping me a line. My house is up for sale and I will be taking a solo journey after all is said and done. I guess the next chapter in my life will be one that involves carboard boxes, travel and a confused cat. Can you say starting over?

I am very interested to see how things turn out - perhaps it will throw me into a creative storm that produces some unique expressions of my soul in turmoil - or not.

Love your art, keep expressing it,

Allistair

Hi Penny: I am sorry I took so long in answering but my computer died and got it back yesterday. Lost everything in it so was up all night restoring it. I was very lucky to do a lot of traveling when I retired in the 1900's but now can barely afford to go anywhere outside my house. Thanks so much on your kind words on my photos. About half were taking on an old fashioned point and shoot camera and then later on a regular Olympus digital. I take awful photos of scenery and buildings , so was lucky to get some interesting people photos.I used a cheap scanner for about half photos. Don't have a Mac, and gave up on Adobe Photoshop which I found difficult. What I did for editing was put some through about 5 simpler editing programs which I have now lost on my computer..then uploaded and arranged them into a digital book (PhotoinPress) which is the format you see online. Had the book printed out for myself and gives me lots of good memories when looking out window at snow banks.

Hello Penny -Great to see your images featured on Zoomers!!! way to go! - I do teach Digital Imaging with the PPOC Professional Photographers of Canada along with the Professional Picture Framing Association in the U.S. I am not a professional photographer, only a professional teacher. I love Photography. I will be in New York City in late March for a seminar and hope to find a few graffiti avenues and lane ways! Cheers! Michael

Good morning, Penny:
I've just come across two more people who would be interested in a walking club. One is a fellow, Seymore, who seems to have quite a bit of knowledge about walking trails in and around the city. I'm trying to get him to start a group on Zoomers. I'll let you know how I make out.
Warmly, Annette

Penny - did you know that the whole graffiti movement started in San Francisico? There is an acceptance to it in designated areas of the city and the colors are also great and saturated! i did a photo shoot there last year and should post a few of the images if I can find them. Thanks for your comments.

HI, Penny:
This cartoon perfectly expresses how I feel right now. We'll have to put our heads together with Ilana and Linda and come up with some good parks and gardens to stroll when the weather gets better.
Too bad "Around The World in 80 Gardens" isn't on before 10:00pm. Japan and China would have been wonderful to see, but I just can't stay awake if I sit down to watch TV in the evening.
I'm glad you like the music. I guess it's not for all tastes, but it is my page after all.
Cheers, Annette
