"Hi! To me a Zoomer is an a baby boomer or someone older who is engaged in life. They believe age is just a number and live a life based on how they feel. They make decisions based on solid information. They try to make a difference in this world and…"
"Hi Zee, Your comments on on line dating, etc, are my comments exactly. Haven't had much satisfaction in that department so I gave up. I dont come into Zoomers that often as well but i've been browsing and came across your topic and your…"
"Yup, Markus certainly does try to make a couple of bucks. LOL For the last several years, it is has been reported in the business section of various Canadian newspapers that he grosses between 5 and 6 million CDN per year for a business that is run…"
"I certainly can't blame him for trying to make a couple of bucks. At least the participants don't have to pay to play unless one wants to be considered a "serious" member. I think the sponsors who post annoying ads pay mostly for…"
"In attempting to log into POF a few moments ago, the following is the message that was posted:
Plentyoffish is currently down as a result of multipul system failures and service will be restored later today.
I have been a member of POF and was…"
"I don't knock POF - at least it's free. Lavalife started sending me pix of 9 "compatible" profiles - most were in their early 40's (I'm 58). Egad.
eHarmoney had me matched with people in the US - I think most of them…"
"I know what you mean about Markus "fixing" - someone aught to "fix" him. Ha!
Let me guess; next time we log in we'll see this:
"You cannot proceed until you indicate if you scored
1 ~ 2 ~ 3 ~ 4 ~ 5 on the Staff IQ…"
"Nope, I cannot access POF today either. When this happens, it usually means that Markus is working behind the scenes on providing POF members with yet another useless add on or feature or something that will limit our access to the site's other…"
not quite sure how this will work
my computer(MUST BE MALE) cannot predict what next it will do;
hmm,,,, sounds odd
dating is ok,but only for the meal.extra escort thing, which we have all encountered, why do we feel we must have a male…"
Not so different on POF from the old days of dating. I was widowed three years ago and am in Toronto; you have to be cautious and I do agree with you that those males seeking "intimate encounters" are very graphic at times (a…"
Re instant attraction. It can work. Fifty some years ago I was in the British Army and went to a Services Club Dance. I felt an attraction to a girl that I saw. I asked her to dance, realised that between us we were a pretty good pair on…"
I was a cop for 35 years, so I figure I developed a pretty thick skin so I can be Mr Nice Guy when needed. I also figured out that if you don't expect anything you aren't suprised when you don't get it. (Cops get very…"
"Oh Billy, pedestals are dangerous things! You're right about instant attraction. Occasionally it is a moment of magic that becomes a lifetime of love. More often, it becomes toxic. Way too much too soon.
Robert - try grinning and saying…"
I saw you started a discussion group. Yes, it's more fun to get together with a group of people, particularly when you are living on your own. We've had some really good times on our outings at "An Evening Out In Toronto" group. Why not considering joining us....we are a fun group of people and I'm sure you would enjoy yourself. This month the meeting time and place has not been posted yet but it may very well be the same place as last month because that place is so easy and friendly for everyone. I do hope you'll check us out. I think you'd have fun.
Have a great day
Thank you. Alas I am a person of many opinions and unfortunately sometimes it seems I am shooting down someone else's opinions. That's not my intent. If you understand the following then you will be able to chuckle and understand who I am.
"I'm always right unless I'm wrong and then I admit it BUT I'm rarely wrong, so there you go" lol but true So I say to all, do not take offense at all that I say, If I was to attack someone, they would know it!!! But I have no intent to attack anyone.
Most everything I write is said with a very dry humor. Often people in real life are confused or don't get it until I say "gotcha!"
Perhaps I should warn all that I devour non fiction books and my range of knowledge is vast, in my past life I was a Respiratory Therapist and if you know any RRT's you know they are gatherers of information and we all think we know something about everything. Just by way of explaining me.
Hi Zee.... thanks for the warm welcome. I am still learning how to navigate this site, but will jump in with both feet as soon as I get "organized". Some of the discussion boards look very interesting... and you can rest assured that my eccentricity will stick out like a sore thumb very early!
why thank you, then perhaps I will stay. One of my male cousins used to say that I made the Japanese stop the war because I cried so much!!!! Wasn't until decades later that I realized that couldn't possibly be. hahahahaha Perhaps he was talking about my conception. LOL
