Right-to-Work in Indiana: Bought and sold by who knows!

Tomorrow, according to news organizations and such, Indiana will pass its "Right-to-Work" bill.

Our governor, 'My Man Mitch', says this will pave the way for job creations.

I might feel more apt to believe that if there weren't so much "Black Ops" donations.

When Corporations donate to causes, most the time, if at all, it's not to help the workers, but themselves.

And that's exactly what is happening here in Indiana and all over…

On Being Asked Back to Work by a Former Employer

Dayton, Ohio,

August 7, 1865

To My Old Master, Colonel P.H. Anderson, Big Spring, Tennessee

Sir: I got your letter, and was glad to find that you had not forgotten Jourdon, and that you wanted me to come back and live with you again, promising to do better for me than anybody else can. I have often felt uneasy about you. I thought the Yankees would have hung you long before this, for harboring Rebs they found at your house. I suppose they never heard about…

Children & Grandparents

1. She was in the bathroom, putting on her makeup, under the watchful eyes of her young granddaughter, as she’d done many times before.

After she applied her lipstick and started to leave, the little one said, “But Grandma, you forgot to kiss the toilet paper good-bye!” I will probably never put lipstick on again without thinking about kissing the toilet paper good-bye….

2. My young…

Acceptance

Once there was a little girl called Me who was raised alone with her sister and very little else.  Me took any form of love where she could find it and did whatever she could to survive. One thing Me had was love and compassion for her fellow man and no one would ever take that away from her no matter how hard they tried.

When Me got older she bought way too many clothes and was always on stage so to speak. Me became someone she knew she wasn’t but her friends did not know differently…

Fourteen Propaganda Techniques Fox "News" Uses to Brainwash Americans

Of course Fox News is not based in Canada and rarely offers its form of entertainment and commentary on Canadian subjects. However, if you go through these techniques you could ask yourself "Who have I heard or seen recently using these same tactics?" Then the next question you could ask would be "If their message was so obvious in its truth, why do they have to resort to time-tested propaganda techniques?"…

THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER CHOICE

You don't have to buy from anyone.  You don't have to work at any particular job. You don't have to participate in any given relationship.  You can choose.

You alone steer the course you choose in the direction of where you want to be today, tomorrow or in any distant time to come.  You hold the tiller.

You can decide to alter the course of your life at any time.  No one can ever take that away from you.  You can decide what you want and go after it.

It's always…

What if Cher had Died? An Ode to the Drag Queens

The rumour that bounced all over the web on Friday was that Cher was dead. I had a hard time believing it and wondered if it was true where would the drag queens turn to now for fashion inspiration.

Linda Seccaspina and her stores sold over 10,000 drag queens their wigs, underwear, and their stage clothes from 1974-1997, and she loved each and every one of them.

There is absolutely no one that can rock a pair of pumps better than a drag queen. One…

Tits Forward

My gym is having a charity drive, but instead of donating money, we donate meters rowed on the rowing machine. The rowing machine company pays 2 cents for every 1000 meters our club rows. At first, rowing looked easy. Push with your legs, pull with your arms, take off your sweater because it gets caught in the machinery under the sliding seat.

I was building up a sweat and my arms were tired in less than 5 minutes. The woman…

Why Do Canadians Continue to Vacation in Mexico?

First off I would like to source my material. Most of the info here came from the National Post and MacLean's magazine. I felt compelled to post this in light of the recent Canadian beating victum in Mexico.

Canadians visiting Mexico increased steadily from 2005 to 2010, with 1.46 million going in 2011. December 2011 saw the highest monthly number of Canadian tourists ever at 194,128.
