In Pursuit Of Happiness

Today I was watching the sparrows, ducks, geese and squirrels running around in the park. To me it was simply amazing that they could live completely within the moment and at least from my perspective, appear happy. In fact not one of these animals, not even a squirrel was hording food for tomorrow or appeared concerned about the future.…

Synchronicity or What?

Strange things are happening, is it synchronicity or what? My first post gets a tag article entitled: “Wiley Post Flies Around the World Alone.” This happens to be the day I was on flight to my new incarnation

zooming around the planet, just like Wiley looking for a place to settle down

or land. Yes, on the day I was born he was trying to be the first man to fly

around the world; he did it after eleven refueling stops. Our souls don’t need

fuel, as they are…

Lack of sleepg

Fortunately, I am not suffering from any lack of sleep. I invested and live in a Total Wellness Home from sleeping in the best sleeping system that money can buy, breathing the air akin to the air up the mountains with gives negative ions, drnking water like the water flowing down the mountains pure, mineralized, magnetized and oxygenated, and taking organic nutritionals including skin care. I am blessed with living in my total wellness home.

Red Panic Button “Fight or Flight”

At our house, the cars often have to be switched around as members of my family work at different times of the day. My son had recently

got a new vehicle and had parked behind me. He was asleep in bed, as he had

been on night shift, but he leaves his keys where members of the household can

get them; in fact, we have a central station or place for the keys. I picked up

the keys for this new vehicle, it is huge.…

New Cockney Rock Musical!!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this and give myself a plug, but here goes:

On September 23,24,25,and 26 this year I am staging a Cockney Rock Musical at the Bathurst Street Theatre, Toronto in the Annex, 736 Bathurst Street just south of Bloor street west. I wrote it about 30 years ago.

It is set in London in the mid-sixties and is completely original with 13 new songs that will remind you of the music back…

The 5 Love Languages – Love is a Choice

How can we speak each other’s love language when we are full of hurt, anger, and resentment over past failures? The answer to that question lies in the essential nature of our humanity. We are creatures of choice. That means we have the capacity to make poor choices, which all of us have done. We have spoken critical words, and we have done hurtful things. We are not proud of those choices, although they may have seemed justified at the moment. Poor choices in the past don’t mean that we…

Lack of sleep

Are you aware that missing one night's sleep may increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes because of the inability of insulin to ferry sugar from the blood to the body's tissues?

Emotional Literacy

When it comes to fitness (and perhaps all areas of life), self-management has to be the ultimate challenge. We can't delegate responsibility for the choices we make to anyone else. And this responsibility includes what we eat and how much we exercise. (Some of us would like to blame dead relatives--our genetic history--but even this approach doesn't work.)

Mostly what I've learned about myself has been learned through trial and error (with much emphasis on the "error" side). My latest… Continue

Through The Eyes Of A Child

Why would we ever want to grow up when life can be so beautiful and pure through the eyes of a child.

1. She was in the bathroom, putting on her makeup, under the watchful eyes of her young granddaughter, as she’d done many times before. After she applied her lipstick and started to leave, the little one said, “But Grandma, you forgot to kiss the toilet paper good-bye!” I will probably never put lipstick on again without thinking about kissing the toilet paper…

Sweet Memorys

Saturday night my wife and I somehow got a sugar craze and decided to get some chocolate and so off to the local store to get something I went, and after looking over the selection I wound up buying the old reliable Aero bar for myself and a 3 musketeers for my wife, but it got me thinking about some of the old goodies that I grew up with during my formative years in the late 1960′s.

But where do you start? How about with the ultimate 60′s item, a licorice Beatles record, that’s… Continue

Pennsylvania, Virginia and Beyond

Even the ancient Egyptians knew you had to make hay while the sun shines. Since recorded time, as a species we have noted and catalogued our dependency, and ultimate lack of control over the weather. Motorcycling and golf are generally two activities that, given the choice, are more enjoyable in sunny weather, but if given no choice, you can tough it out. Judging by the warm weather pattern the northeast continent has been in, the odds are very good, or so I’ve…

So You Think You Can Succeed in Internet Marketing?

Alright, I’ll admit it. I do watch a little television sometimes. I’m a sucker for reality tv.

One my all time favs is “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Have you ever watched it?

I have a ton respect for the dancers on this show. They are filled with passion, energy, drive, dedication, focus, desire and refuse to let their dreams crumble.

First of all, there’s the auditions. It takes courage to dance in front of an audience. But imagine doing it in… Continue

Men Are People Too

It's interesting how we see all experiences from our own perspective. Mine is predictably female. And so, without giving it much thought, I figured my experience - shared by many women of a certain age - was a distinctly female one. Not so, as it turns out. While discussing living passioniately with friends, both male and female, it seems that the search for meaning and joy is not restricted to the fairer sex. Just because they don't talk about it…

Cutting Back To The Bare Necessities

When we walk a separate path we will always spark query in others.

Last night I was reading an interesting book, “The 4 – Hour Work Week” written by Timothy Ferriss. The objective of the book is to cut back on the hours we work and reclaim what really counts most in our life – living.

It’s funny how once we become aware of a condition – confirmation readily appears. Yesterday my son asked me, “Dad when you had lots of money wasn’t your life easier than today?” My reply,…

The 5 Love Languages – Discovering Love Languages

Discovering the primary love language of your spouse is essential if you are to keep their emotional love tank full. But first, let’s make sure you know your own love language. …

What is your primary love language? What makes you feel most loved by your spouse? What do you desire above all else? If the answer to those questions does not leap to your mind immediately, perhaps it will help to look at the negative use of love languages. What does your spouse do or say that…

Is Fat Good for Us?

If you've been playing the dieting game for any length of time (a game I hope you've given up), you can remember food trends. One year, a food is deemed good for us. A few years later, we're told to avoid it. Do you remember when margarine was supposed to be better for us than butter? Later, because of trans-fats in margarine, we were encouraged to avoid it. Eggs, at one point, were bad for us because of their high cholesterol. Now, many experts tell us that eggs are an excellent source of… Continue
