Magnificent days of wonder and surprise

Oh those days
of wonder and magic.
Those days when all
of life’s energies
collides with the
consciousness of all
that is anything,
That is everything and that is a part of this infinite
universe.
When the little kitty showed up at the market and I saw him for the first time I knew that the…

The latest blog entry
You know the trouble with travelling in time is that in one of those movements of travel you had to die to complete the process necessary for time travel to continue. Then your path in life is to not show back up in that period in time.Feeling better today.
Better than what?
Better than yesterday...
The specimen that we have acquired is one of the most unique we have…

Crying

The trip back to the gulag was filled with light conversation and I noticed that Barth was having some trouble breathing and moving. It’s a strange dance with Barth because even though there was not perfection in his movements right now,…

A Year Ago I Had Cancer
A year ago, I had cancer.
The big scary word.
A small lump in my breast.

America the hateful, the racist and well more
Four years ago I thought that The United States of America had finally made a real and significant move forward to being a more enlightened and even spiritual nation. Instead we have become nothing but a bitter hateful seething fleshpot of idiots and fools.
The republican party had taken every opportunity to…

One week later...
Last Friday started out like any other day. Back over Labor Day we drove to Kansas and got ourselves a couple of puppies from a breeder. They are fox wire haired terriers. Fun dogs, usually pretty smart and generally not hard to train. It has been a challenge training two at once, but progress has been made. Part of the process has been to have my husband stop by at lunch time and take them out and give me a break.
So last week that is what took place. My husband came home. I…

College Bound or Bound to College
When you have children, there is a good chance that as a parent, you might be interested in their education. I grew up in a family that was first generation immigrants. My grandparents were new to this country and while they were from somewhat humble backgrounds in Europe, they were not without some experiences and worldly aspirations. They came here to do it better, "it" being living. They were motivated by politics and opportunity.
My parents had their own achievements. At the time…

Earlier this week, a friend I greatly respect shared a letter from her Shaman about the new era we entered into this week. I know, I already lost most of you the moment I said the word Shaman, and hey, I understand, I think I lost myself there too.
Being from the San Francisco bay area, I've had to deal with all kinds of crazy New Age things for most of my adult lifetime. Back in the 70's it was hard to go a couple of blocks without running into a bunch of crystals, or all…

Does Photography Remove Your Soul?
I used to love the very few times I got to spend with my mother before she died. When she was out of the hospital on her good days; we used to roam the forgotten cemeteries in the countryside. My father sat shaking his head in his old Ford reading his Perry Mason paperbacks as he watched us read one crumbling stone after another.…

This series is unique for Zoomers.
Renovation
They had finally found a home that they liked and could afford. It had been a long search. This home seemed to catch their fancy. The style was a link with their distant heritage, something about it suggested a German look. It was almost like a Fachwerkhaus, and in essence it was. Some people…

UNFOLDING
Sometimes we look at a life
We see it, engage it, thrive
We hardly recognize it is
Unfolding.
It cannot be complete
Still being shaped
Bending out from within
Unfolding.
While others may think they see
Some realize they do not
Things which were once…

Honor Flight Mail Call - A Note of Thanks
"If you have time and care to do this, Uncle Bob is going on a one day trip to DC for WWII vets. It's called an Honor Flight. The organizers have requested letters to be handed out during mail call on the plane home. I've asked some of the relatives to no avail and I thought you might be interested in writing a letter to him thanking him for his service to his country. If you care to do this, send it as an attachment and I will include it in the pack I'm sending today. Love you -…

Talking with Spirits
The one good thing about being dead is that there are still connections to this world. Many people feel the presence of their loved ones, in special ways, at special times. Some feel it in just ordinary ways in their life. There is often not what would be considered direct communication, it is more like thinking and knowing that someone is near and that they are seeing what you are doing or sharing in some way.
It is unlikely that you will sit down for a coffee in the morning…

Getting Out the Vote 1964
I considered myself to be a teenaged rebel. I questioned everything adults told me to do, except when it came to homework and politics.
I always did more homework than was assigned and I did whatever the adults at the American Friends Service Committee suggested. Without question, without doubt, without fear, without any sense of self-preservation. Okay, I told my parents, but they were so relieved that I wasn’t interested in drugs or boys that they didn’t question my…

Pain in the Arse Job.
When you have an 'I Hate My Job day' and even if you're retired, you sometimes have those days.
Try this out:
Stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section and purchase a rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson.
Be very sure you get this brand.
When you get home, lock your doors, draw the curtains and disconnect the phone so you will not be…
