Horses with No Names- Nothing but a Big Old "Yeller" Dog

This is the fourteenth in a series about the strangers that I meet in my life.

                                                     emily

When I was 6 years old my mother brought me to a very old theatre in Montreal to see the Disney film “Old Yeller”. I remember wearing a red wool coat, itchy matching leggings and half way through the movie I peed my pants. The…

Live Royal Wedding Blogging from Westminster - Best in Show

hats    It is 4:35 PM and I am already in my pajamas and have my pillow on the couch. I am honestly ready for a lot of royal action. The "Royal Truck" pulled up an hour ago and Tink the cat and his pal dropped by.

They are dressed for the occasion and will only stay until Ryan Seacrest comes on as Tink prefers to blog with the E channel backing him. All they could talk about was the 15,000 canapés that were being served at the reception. They…

The Ghost Lovers of Springside Hall - A True Love Story

tango Daylight had broken, and the dining room was now silent and glowing.

Whatever had possessed the night air that filled the pink hued room, was now gone. Why was it was there to begin with? Was it desperation for the loss of love?

A long time has passed since the death of the old couple, that lived at Springside Hall for fifty…

The Symphony of the Louisville Slugger and THE DISH

The Louisville Slugger shown in the photograph below is the 180 Paul O’Neill model. It is one hundred percent American made and yes that is the same Yankees player that Kramer had to get to hit two home runs so he could get the Steinbrenner birthday card back for George. But none of that really matters right now because I am furious.

Dear Readers,

My name is Katrina Darling and I am the real footloose and fancy free cousin of Kate Middleton. I am the closest thing to porn that the Royal Family will ever meet. As Prince Harry said,

My Journey to Become the Future Queen Mum of England

us

pinkr A long time ago when our beloved Princess Diana was going to get married she had to take etiquette lessons from the late Queen Mum. Now that "Mum" has passed who is going to steer young "Waity Katy" in the right royal direction?

I figure as a fellow commoner I might be the one to take over the job. Yesterday I immediately sent my resume to the Royal Palace asking them for the position.

Peace, Love, Understanding and Food Not Bombs

Hidden off Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley near the University of California lies the legendary People’s Park. During the day it is a sanctuary for the homeless and anyone who needs a meal is fed by Food not Bombs.

In the 60's Michael Delacour presented a plan for developing the university-owned land into a public park and one Sunday in April of 1969, over 100 people arrived at the site to begin building the park.

They gladly contributed trees; flowers, shrubs, and eventually many…

If You're Going to San Francisco - A Tie-Dye Story

A few months ago I did a blog about being a part time hippie in my teen years. I made an occupation of protesting the Viet Nam War with my friends at Place Ville Marie in Montreal. I wore some of the worst outfits in the history of fashion and flowers in my ironed hair. There was one particular purple broadcloth flowing pants and tunic I still remember. My friends…

Internally Bagging the Bacon While Celebrating "Baconalia"

sugaronsnow      Most Canadian children go through a traditional rite of spring as soon as they can say the word “maple”. Each year in the month of March they are either led by their parents or have to endure some god forsaken field trip to a sugar shack in the middle of the woods. Then one of the culinary miracles of Canada takes place and they are introduced to something called “sugar on snow”.

Would You Fight for the Pepe's Pizza Mascot Job?

Three people were hurt yesterday in Cleveland after a fight broke out at McDonalds’s during their National Day of Hiring.

The pizza mascot below is a University student  named Chris. He is hot and very thirsty inside that costume but this is his part time job.  He is attending Cal, studying "media" and his final goal is to live and work in New York City.

When I went to school I worked part time at my father’s business typing invoices. After I left school I had my…

My Duran Duran Moments on Record Store Day

Saturday from dawn to dusk was Record Store Day. For anyone who does not live with an audiophile and has no clue what it is, I will give you a brief sentence or two. Record Store Day was dreamed up by one Chris Brown in 2007.

Chris is an employee of the independent record store chain, Bull Moose, located in Maine and New Hampshire. It is the one day of the year that all of the mom and pop record stores come together with artists to celebrate…

Mrs. Cheung's Blue Meat & My Week in Wacky Personal Photos

I see a lot of odd things when I make my journeys from here to there during the week. Because of the pending full moon things seemed to be a bit more exaggerated this week. Enjoy!

"The Weekly World News is reporting this week that Miss Cheung of China got up to go to the bathroom late one night and saw a blue light coming from her kitchen. The glow came from a slab of pork that she had bought the day before and left on the…

The Possibilities of Mating and Dating on Craigslist

I have a friend who cannot find a nice man to hang around with. Oh don’t get me wrong, there are tons of men out there that would love to date her on eHarmony.com but they just do not seem to meet her expectations, which are not that high.

  oldnavy

She has met some and either they are 20 years older than their picture or they come a courting with a lot of gold chains and a sexy attitude. She is now at the end of her contract with the online love site and is going to cancel…

Watch Me Pull a Rabbit Out of My Hat - Maybe!
