Jack Layton embodied everything good about being a Canadian. His energy galvanized a nation of
middle aged and young people to "get off your buts and get involved".
His word was his bond. He never faltered or side tracked. He said it as it was, and although others
may have disagreed with him they could not help but like him.
He had a passion for everything in life. His wife, his children, his granddaughter, his music, and mostly
this Country. He truly believed we could do better than we have. He took Quebec not by storm,or
negativity, but with a certain kind of humble joy. He never shot down the opposition or did
character killing on opposition members of Parliament. No he debated, and negotiated.
He was what every woman would want her sons to become. Most of all he loved this Country.
Rest in Peace dear Jack - it shall take many moons to find someone as special as you.
God Bless Olivia Chow, the children and granddaughter.
