I absolutely enjoy my life.... I begin with that statement because it is so true. Chronologically as they say.
I begin with a long luxurious stretch in bed. This loosens any tightness of my muscles.
Upon hopping out of bed, I proceed through my private entry and have a long awaited pee.
After a few minutes I re enter and sniff out some brekkie. Yum Yum I say as I spot my bowl full of kibble. No milk no sugar just the way I enjoy it.
My partner has roused from our bed and he goes about his ablutions.
He pours a coffee, leans over and scratches my ear.
In about 15 mins he is ready for the day and we head out the door.
We walk to the beach. Where he tosses my ball while I run and fetch it. Dipping into the waters of this coast of BC,
When we finish on the beach we walk home by way of Beacon Hill park. This is where I chase those pesky squirrels.
Home and time now for a nap on my favourite cushion.
Time to rest and dream of catching one of those squirrels
A little later I rise and decide to check out the house making sure that everything is in order.......... is and I nudge my partner for a tummy rub.
Ohhhh that feels so good.. as he strokes my belly.
A while later he whistles for me and we head out once again to walk the neighbourhood searching for anything out of the ordinary.
He now stops bends over and places my Bandana on my neck.
This means I am now at work. No foolishness.
We enter the hospice where the nurse at the desk Smiles at me and says Hello Sasha. nice to see you again.
We start our rounds and enter the lounge on the fourth floor. My old friend Donald is in his easy chair and smiles as I approach. A cuddle and an ear scratching oooh this is so good.
Next I visit my most elderly friend Jeannie she is 99 in human years. Quite an achievement. She also strokes nad cuddles me smiling too herself. I am sure her memory is taking her back to the days of her K-9 friends and possibly a feline or two. After all at 99 she could have shared her home with many 4 legged friends.
We enter the elevator and go to another floor. The lounge has 5 or 6 people watching the TV. I approach each person as they hold their hand out to me.
My partner calls me and says let's go Sash. I can hardly believe that 2 hours has passed so quickly.
We walk home again through the park. Not any squirrels about so I just chase my tail for a while.
At home, I go to my bowl have a drink and enjoy my dinner. Time now to have a chew on my bone before...............................................................> > > > > > >
I meditate for a while.
Then it is off to bed for another night and sweet dreams of rabbits and squirrels and my amazing Human friends.
That my day in a nutshell. This is my Pal at home working:
