Alien Invasions - Perfecting Perfection.

What a great idea!

Throughout human history we have striven to improve our lot.

Unlike most specie which are content and constrained to making do, we have an upper hand, we can change things to suit us.

Back in the time when travel was a limited proposition, our greatest ideas were limited to the immediate situation and had little universal impact. We entertained ourselves without the side effects of ruinousness aftermath and unintended consequence.

Money is sickening! No wake required... remaining asleep - optional!

Since many people rely on an energy source we know as money, it is sometimes useful to check in on the health of the energy source. If that energy source evaporates - where does that leave you?

Situational Awareness can assist an individual in escaping a sticky situation... but only if cognizance of the threat event is recognized and acted upon.

The focus today is... your sickening money. If you happen to have some... it may be a good time to check your reliance on its health, money the world over is beginning to pale.

As much as we feel smug right now - Canada is not exempt.

Ghost Fleets and Empty Promises

Scale of economy in the dreamland of bubble economics forced a "super-size it" approach... all over the globe nimble and economical transportation modes were scrapped in favor of behemoth vessels called the supertanker or container ship.

The upside of these gargantuan vessels is they can carry insane volumes of cargo. The downside is, they will not sail unless they are full. In 2007 the inevitable happened and the insane pyramid of greed collapsed.

Sometimes I wonder if the younger generation cares about the planet. Then out of
the blue they surprise you and do something that proves me wrong and shows
people that they care ----- a lot. we have a family on our street and every sunday
morning go along with a garbage bag and pick up litter. Just because they want to. brLutz

Your Safety - Your Concern

Back in the day Pops had a weather eye out, he knew about flood plains, slide areas, swamp fill, fault zones, chemical dumps, tornado alley's and all the other painfully obvious habitat risk areas and so tended to proceed with caution when choosing where to live.

It didn't mean we could live outside of these places - life often dictated otherwise, but what it did mean is that we were all aware and prepared for probable response to threat eventuality.

Barbara, I don't recollect ever saying anything like that. To the contrary I have said "Blaming the people for seeking their own council is probably not the solution to suggest. It should also be noted that self-educated does not equate to uneducated." Of course I don't really know what the context is of the comment. I am self-educated mostly... and write extensively about old and sound wisdom... or horse-sense. I have written about people seemingly oblivious to their surroundings... but that has nothing to do with ignorance.

If a person is uneducated are you saying they are stupid of just nieve.
My grandparents were not educated but were not stupid or nieve. However
neither of them had the time or inclination to sit around with a book in their hand
all the time. It seemed to me that they were always working at something. BrLutz

Our Final Hour? or Our Finest Hour?

I know... we are older now... so who gives a toot?

In 2003 an eminent scientist warned us that we were much further down the trail of inducing ecological collapse than we realized.

OK, so game over right? Wrong!

Science by its very nature cannot take license with intuition, it must be bound to measures, values and quantities, intuition is bound to feel, sense and surmise. Science cannot factor sparks of spirit or flashes of inspiration.

Intuition can add more ingredients to a situation, people for instance and their innate ability to affect outcomes, earth changes that can have interpretation beyond destruction, events that represent opportunity not failure.

We truly do hang in the balance in 2010.

Will populations continue to be oblivious? Will populations adamantly remain faithful to the processes and systems applied to them as a given. Will populations rely on their very survival with trust in administrators whom they have never met?

The answers to these questions and likewise will determine the outcome for humanity in the longer haul.
