A beacon of hope for the victim of computer glitch syndrome.

Before DOS 1...  now that dates a fellow doesn't it?

Back in the day if you could make a "computer" do anything you were regarded with awe and envy.
Along the way it has been interesting to both earn a living and maintain computing as a hobby.

I ascribe to the theory that deep, wide and well earned experience has to count. Does it not?

Of course these days anyone with a brother-in-law or grandkid can keep their rigs a running and so
gradually, though "ease" of use, operating systems, hardware, peripherals, connectivity and even "programming" have become trivial endeavour, at least for some.

However, even in 2012 I have noticed many still struggle with what seem to be fiendish computer devils which seem to strike right at the moment you need to compute urgently.

Over time I have accumulated my own fair share of "clients", folks who know when to phone or mail when things go awry, these are mainly friend, acquaintances and family and I must say I thoroughly enjoy tinkering them back out of the bit bucket.

With this in mind I am starting this simple blog spot as a beacon for those who do not have the fabled
brother-in-law... perhaps in some moment of computer frustration or angst this can be a place to come.

Everyone is welcome and I hope this place becomes useful for someone somewhere.

Click here to Compute regardless.. If you have questions -- I would love to help.

Hi Gary,

That is abnormal behaviour and so an uninstall and reinstall is probably prudent.

(I replaced Avast with Microsoft Security Essentials (free) assumes Windows operating system)

For uninstalling programs I recommend something like Revo Uninstaller (free edition) since it does a 3 stage removal leaving nothing behind on the drive or the registry.

Cheers, Doug.
