Absolutely correct, Moira. Living with either kind of arthitis is very trying. Let's see how long has it been for me. HMMM!!! Almost 40 years and still going, like the energize bunny. HA HA HA! Osteoarthitis is what I've got as well, but nothing keeps me down. Actually, my work is my exercise. Clean for living. Doctor tells me that's not exercising, but I disagree. I'm getting quite a workout vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, etc. Isn't that right? Can't sit too long or stand too long, so I compromise with a little of both. Helps me cope. Of course, medicine helps, but it's not a cure. If I would've stayed with my desk job (accounting), probably be in a wheelchair now. Always doing something, cause I just sit for 1 day, stiff as a board. Actually, sold my bed and sleep on the floor. Best thing I ever did. Don't have back problems, it's just the tailbone. Think that's worse.
