You may find yourself sitting on a sandy beach
And you may find yourself wondering how to pass the time on that sandy beach
And you may find yourself reaching into your beach bag for the books you brought to read
And you may find yourself looking at several books and one of them is different
And you may ask yourself, well, how did this get here?
Flipping the pages by, as you read Linda's words
Flipping the pages by, her words making you laugh
Menopausal Woman From the Corn it is
Once on a perfect day, she makes you laugh and then cry
You may ask yourself, how could I be so blessed?
And you may ask yourself, where does she get her ideas?
And you may ask yourself, why did I bring those other books
And you may tell yourself, those books don't make me laugh and cry
Flipping the pages by, reading Seccaspina's words
Flipping the pages by, letting them make you laugh and cry
Menopausal Woman From the Corn it is
Once on a perfect day, she makes you laugh and then cry
Same as it never was...same as it never was...same as it never was...same as it never was...
Same as it never was...same as it never was...same as it never was...same as it never was...
Flipping the pages by, as you read Linda's words,
Letting the pages fly, Seccaspina's wit is wry
Watching her thinking riff, amused by Linda's unique gift
Keeping the pages dry, as Seccaspina makes you cry...

Comment by Matt Paust on July 16, 2012 at 8:30am Tks, Steve, Christine and Heidi. You will love Linda's book, Heidi.
Glad you found it, CreekEnd. Interesting that your mom enjoyed having a "stranger" read Linda's stories to her. Dementia can be fickle. My guess is she knew who you were all along.
Comment by Linda Seccaspina on July 16, 2012 at 6:33am Thanks again Matt.

Comment by CreekEnd_UK on July 16, 2012 at 5:38am Found this post by shear chance - no link left on the OS Reject Group - and am so pleased I did. Matt you're a Gent and Linda is unique too.
I read her book to my 91 yr old mother who then asked me who I was and when would her son would arrive? But She sat and listened to Tales Of The Linda with gusto, wot wot.
