Ah spring, a time for rebirth.
A time for the land to awake from a long winter's nap. A time for trees to bud. A time for flowers to bloom. A time for animals to do whatever animals do in the spring time.
Possibly they make out for weeks. Get married and in the fall, get divorced and all that fun stuff that happens during that process.
Spring is still waiting to make its full time appearance here for awhile but has been peeking in, here, there, and with some flooding just so we don't forget that Mother Nature likes to clean the streets with rivers.
Two feet of snow melts and you can bring out the surf boards and take a ride down Main Street and the cops won't even give you a second look.
The ducks will love it.
"Extension to the creek!! LETS GO HENRY!"
NOTE : There's always one duck named Henry in the bunch.
The other day winter reminded me it was still there as I stepped outside the gate of the front yard and slipped forward.
"Take that!" the ice remaining yelled at me and sliced my left wrist down a few slots to make some nice wounds.
Actually it was more like, "Stupid ice!"
But hopefully soon, the signs of spring will be more evident such as the buds of May and the flowers that say, HELLO WORLD, IT'S SPRING TIME IN THE ROCKIES!
