So sorry to hear about your loss, Marilyn. That quote that Goldie shared really says it all. I remember you mentioning Joan Didion's 'Year Of Magical Thinking' in the Book Club — I hope the read helps. I read it awhile ago and found it to be so heartbreakingly honest and real. I know that shortly after the book was published, she lost Quintana. My sincere condolences.

Goldie, thank you very much for that touching quote. I sent it on to his daughter.

My son Chris and I will be going to the visitation on Saturday and the service on Monday, of course. His father-in-law and his wife will be going to the service as well. It is a looong way from Hamilton to Scarborough.

Marilyn.  Please accept my deepest condolences; a parent's worst nightmare, and you're in it.  Lovely little rhyme Goldie; thanks for posting.  I assume your son has been unwell Marilyn, but still terribly upsetting when the passing occurs.  Keep writing to us, and take care of yourself.

To Marylou---   I, also am very sorry to hear your news.  Loss of relatives, friends and especially ones younger than oneself is very stressfull.
