Things you can do with the old style Brit telephone boxes.

Glass is optional (allegedly) ?

And here is where the populace hide when Shelley and John visit the UK.
Well they are made of sturdy stuff, oh yes.

Being near but not in Europe, we in the UK use them to house our Eastern European illegal immigrants. No seriously we do. Just ask the UK Border Patrol, if you can find them.

A better surprise would be to turn them all into Tardises.  Then when the tourists go in, you never know where they'll come out.

Boss - Dr.Who uses a Police Box as they're lighter and made of wood. These old telephone boxes weighed a tonne.

GroundHog Steve - for ages Brit Telecom just removed the phones but that was deemed too cruel as foreign folk still went inside and looked everywhere and even stopped hooded locals asking where the phone was. Obviously they then had their wallet or purse stolen.

If the round red mailboxes get retired, casual visitors form the lost colonies might think they are in Belgium.
