Woman Finds a Diamond Ring in her Toilet - Better Go Check Mine

I don't know about you but anytime I clean my toilet all I find are water marks. I have always worried about finding a snake in the toilet after reading multiple reports of some being found in the bowl. But never in my years have I heard someone finding something valuable there.

When Ashley Cook of Detroit, Michigan cleaned her toilet two days ago she found a ring sitting at the bottom. Cooke was not sure at first and told myFOXdetroit.com,

"I said, 'What is that?' and I went in my closet and I got some rubber gloves and I took it out," she explained. "I soaked it with alcohol."

To her surprise it wasn't just some ring found at the bottom of the Crackerjack box but a gold ring wrapped in a string of diamonds. It was engraved with the loving phrase "Christina and Jerry forever."

She cannot explain how the ring got there but feels she needs to get this token of love back to the original owners.

"It's like a token of lost love," she said. "Together forever, that means a lot to me, so I want them to have this back. A reward isn't required for me at all."

Cook said she was going to keep it inside a baby blanket with some baby clothes and her baby son's ashes.

"I lost my son in January and this is the safest box for it," she said.

Baby Jeremiah was born on January 27, but he only lived for seven hours. Doctors said he caught an infection from his mother.

Unlike snakes, local plumbers say it is not possible that the ring had traveled up the pipes and they assume someone dropped it in the toilet. Let's hope no one in her immediate family was having an affair without her knowledge

Cook said she just wants to do the right thing for Jerry and Christina. "It's amazing how it could pop up in my toilet," she said.

It gives the words 'toilet ring' a whole new meaning doesn't it?

While I feel sad about the mother's predicament tinfoil hats are now on sale at Walmart thru 5-10-12!

Yeah, I wonder how that got there...too weird. Maybe you could do a follow up for us inquiring minds. Or, you could write a story about it and I would believe that!
