Writer Wednesday is a new Zoomers.ca feature where we issue a weekly open call on a particular theme or subject that our community of bloggers are welcomed to participate in.

If you're a blogger that's interested in getting a handle on your craft (or even connecting with an audience!) then this is definitely the challenge for you.

How Does It Work?

Every Friday, we issue the theme or subject via a blog post that will be featured in our Friday newsletter.

|Writer Wednesday Prompt #22 "Routine"

To participate, simply post a blog on that theme, but tag that post with "writer wednesday" (within quotes, all lowercase) before the following Wednesday at 12PM EST.

When Writer Wednesday hits, we then do the following:

  • Round-up all the participating entries in a entry such as this.
  • Feature all the participating entries in our Friday newsletter that goes directly to our over 12,000 members.
  • Feature all the participating entries via our Twitter with the popular#writerwednesday hashtag.
  • Select our personal favourite that will be featured to the over 13,000 members in our Zoomers on Facebook community.

In the latest edition of this feature, we put a call out for pieces that explored "Routine."

Here are the entries that took us up on our "Routine" writing challenge:

Perhaps we are approaching a time in which our routines cannot take precedence over our interactions with others as we support each other through the chaos that is coming for each and every one of us.

Bringing Sexy Back with Brothel Bertie - aka King Edward the VII:

It was a huge copper bath usually filled with champagne in the design of a half woman and half swan. King Edward bubble bathed his life away daily with his "lovelies" including Winston Churchill's mother.

Sometimes routines just aren't that routine after all. This can be a good thing, especially if you are a juggler.

5:00pm watch some news.  Killings and Politicians make me sad.  Change to cartoons.  Bugs Bunny you still make me laugh! Teehee!

Thanks to  Linda, Gail, Jason and Steve for all their hard work! Please support our writers' original works by visiting their individual blogs as well as leaving comments.

Stay tuned this Friday for the next theme!
